Greetings to our participants in the Umbrian Retreat 2024! Below, a photo of the elegant-yet-casual villa where we'll be staying, La Ghirlanda. Dates of the retreat are June 18th through the 23rd, and we absolutely can't wait. Please plan on arriving at the Rome airport on June 17th, where you will be transported directly to the resort.
Below, please find our proposed schedule of classes and excursions. We'll be providing more details about the classes as we get closer. But, for the most part, each class will have a different focus, and some classes will be over-all total body. All classes will be conducted on the grounds of the resort. In case of rain (Umbria does have the occasional thunder storm.....), we can reschedule, or get creative, like we did last year. There was one afternoon where there was a thunderstorm, so we did the class in the wine cellar, which was interesting!
Breakfast is served buffet style; the resort provides a wide variety of items to choose from. And you can keep going back for more!
It can get quite warm in Umbria during June, so you might want to pack some light weight clothing, and layering for evenings when it gets a bit cooler. Everything is very casual there, so you just want to be comfortable. For the classes, yoga wear, sweatpants - whatever is going to be comfortable for you.
